The Captain Fairfield Inn is among the many historic homes that have been restored and maintained to their original splendor when our community was a prosperous ship building town. We are also on the register of Historic Places in Maine.

Kennebunk, Maine: Self guided walking tour of the many historical homes and mansions in Kennebunk. Your tour starts at the Brick Store Museum where you may purchase a detailed booklet describing the homes, churches and other historical sites.

Antiques and More: For the serious buyer or the casual browser. Just steps from our Inn, you can start your tour and then continue your journey down Route 9 to Route 1 where you will find shops from Arundel to York. We have brochures and maps to help you along the way.

Summer Theatre: The Arundel Barn Playhouse is housed in the historic and pastoral area of Arundel in an 1800’s  farm barn recycled as a live theatre complex in 1998.  The Playhouse offers five, live, professional, musical theatre productions, each running two or three weeks from mid-June to the end of August.  Treat yourself to "an evening in the Mickey Rooney /Judy Garland tradition".
