The Mid-Coast
(2 Hours North). Offering glistening harbors and some of the finest sailing waters in the world, the nautical mid-coast from Bath to Lincolnville — is equal parts salty sailor lore and classic New England gentry.
Pemaquid Point is the home to one of the prettiest lighthouse settings on earth (see above photo). Brunswick oozes “Main Street USA,” complete with Bowdoin College, funky shops and unique restaurants. In Bath, you’ll find the Maine Maritime Museum alongside Bath Iron Works, both nestled in an authentic working city. Damariscotta and Wiscassett practically define the phrase “adorable coastal village.” Camden offers a picture-perfect harbor and tony restaurants, and funky Rockland delivers an emerging art scene and local color.
