Winter Food Series

Seafood, blueberries, craft beer. . .Maine is a great place to indulge and imbibe. This winter and early spring we’re celebrating our Locavore heritage with an exceptional 6-month Food Series in our new Tasting Room. Join us for the weekend and enjoy:

  • Two nights in a room for 2 at low season rates
  • Friday evening cocktail reception at the inn
  • Dinner out at a local restaurant dedicated to locavore eating*
  • A Saturday food class with a local expert with tastings and pairings in our newly renovated Tasting Room

*Rates starting at $215 per night without dinner, $259 per night with dinner included at a local restaurant. Add $15 per night for the March event.

February 22 & 23, 2013 — A Chocoholics Dream

Celebrate the month of love with a chocolate tasting from Maine’s own Martha Moon Chocolate Company. Learn how these sweet treats are made and taste samples paired with carefully selected ports and dessert wines.

March 29 & 30, 2013  Maine Seafood Loves Wine
If you’ve never visited the Pine State during Maine Shrimp season — now’s the year! Savor Maine seafood small plates paired with a choice selection of wines from around the world. Sommelier and Certified Wine Specialist, Erica Archer of Portland’s acclaimed Wine Wise Events will lead you through this unique wine education and pairing class.

April 5 & 6, 2013  — New England Cheese Pairing
From pungent to creamy and back again, discover the diverse world of New England cheeses through the eyes of cheese fanatic (and cheese buyer for a local organic grocer), Shannon Tallman. Shannon pairs New England cheeses with local spirits, such as beer, mead, hard cider and even wines from Maine-based Cellardoor vineyard.
